Run to the Sun Celebrates Silver Anniversary in Style

Held at Trevelgue Holiday Park, Porth, the event is expected to attract record numbers of RttS veterans to mark the event’s 25th birthday.

RttS 2011 will have two new arenas’s added to its exciting portfolio. The first, an Unsigned Stage, will showcase some great unsigned talent throughout the day and the second, The Bass Bunker, will provide three nights of Dubstep and D&B beats as an alternative dance arena. As well as two new arenas’s a brand new venue will be home to the Show ‘n’ Shine event that has in previous years been held at Tregunnel Car Park.

This year Trevithick Manor Farm, opposite Morrisons in Newquay, will stage the shiny, glittering showcase of VWs, Custom Cars and Mods that bring car enthusiasts to Newquay in their droves on Sunday 29th May. This year the Show ‘n’ Shine will have the usual array of lovely cars but there will also be traders, children’s entertainment, a surf simulator, bouncy castle and much more to keep the whole family entertained throughout the day.

Cornwall Hospice Care will also be hosting a balloon race as part of the Show ‘n’ Shine and the balloon that travels the furthest will win a 7-night break at one of Cranstar Holidays choice of holiday parks. The balloon release is scheduled to take place at 3pm from Trevithick Manor Farm. Entry to the Show ‘n’ Shine costs £2Adults/£1 Children with free parking available onsite.

Back at the Festival Site the Main Arena will play host to head line acts such as Andy C, Grooverider, Eddie Halliwell, Anne Savage and many more world-class DJs.

The Comedy and Live Music Arena will again house some of the funniest people on the comedy circuit as well as some of the most sought after cover bands in the county. The Silent Disco will be rocking out its non-existent noise pollution every evening from 8pm and Arena 4, the Acoustic Sessions, will be offering its usual mix of chilled out tunes and acoustic sets.

A limited number of one-day tickets are available by calling 01637 851851. One-day tickets cost £28pp and give you access to the festival from 2pm on your chosen day until 4am the following morning.
